NEC Introduces UM Series Ultra Short Throw Projectors

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today its UM
Series of ultra short throw multimedia projectors. The 3300-lumen UM330X and UM330W pack a multitude of features while
delivering an extremely short throw distance for education and corporate applications.

A complete interactive projector solution can be created using the optional NP02Wi eBeam interactive system, which connects
between the USB port on the eBeam module at the front of the projector and computer, and uses IR to determine the wireless
pen’s position within the displayed image. This technology gives users the ability to control their computers and annotate accurately
at the whiteboard. With their ability to be mounted to the walls directly above the screens on which they project, the UM330X and
UM330W help eliminate shadows and glare typically found with standard projection systems.

“The interactive eBeam system is yet another technology NEC is proud to offer in support of those customers wanting to increase
engagement during group tasks,” said Rich McPherson, Senior Product Manager for Projectors at NEC Display Solutions. “The UM
Series offers expansive connectivity including dual HDMI, VGA, a USB hub and microphone input. Combined with standard features
like built-in speakers and remote management capabilities, these models are a huge value to our customer base.”

The UM330X and UM330W projectors include the following features:

3300 lumens in XGA and WXGA resolutions
Ultra short throw lens (0.36:1 throw ratio) eliminates shadows on the screen and projected light in the presenter’s eyes
Dual HDMI, VGA, USB hub and microphone inputs
Built-in 16-watt speaker
Closed captioning enables the decoding and display of text information from a video
ECO Mode™ technology helps extend lamp life and lowers power consumption
Variable audio-out allows the remote control to adjust the volume of self-powered external speakers connected to the projector
Virtual Remote allows the presenter to control the projector from the computer desktop without using the physical remote control
Remote monitoring and control of the projector via RJ-45 network connection
AutoSense™ intuitively syncs the projector with most computer signals and features one-touch image optimization
AutoKeystone Correction instantly projects a square image even when the projector is set up at a steep offset angle to the screen
Wireless LAN (optional) allows you to wirelessly transmit images from a PC wirelessly to the projector, eliminating the need for traditional cumbersome cables
Optional NP04WK1 ultra short throw wall mount kit (also available as a bundle—UM330X-WK1 and UM330W-WK1)

The UM330X and UM330W projectors, as well as the UM330X-WK1 and UM330W-WK1 bundles, will be available in January 2013 at a
minimum advertised price of $1099, $1299, $1318 and $1518, respectively. Each model ships with at 2-year limited parts and labor

made to NEC’s Interactive Software. This powerful application enables the creation and playback of presentations, and is targeted to
educators and presenters using NEC projectors.

Users of the software experience a simplified presentation process, while enriching interactions with listeners. This solution, which is
compatible with Apple’s iPad tablet and NEC projectors with networking capabilities, ensures consistency and accuracy between
multiple presentations, and allows customers to walk freely around the room while annotating directly on the iPad. NEC’s Interactive
Software also benefits from its integration with the Image Express Utility software suite, which eliminates the need for cables, and
saves schools and companies money on their installations. The following describes the updates to NEC’s Interactive Software:

· With the touch of a button, record all annotation and audio of entire presentations for playback at a later date with voice over
capabilities
· Share videos on YouTube, Facebook or via email
· Select whether or not the iPad will be connected to a server (PC or Mac) upon opening the app
· Connect directly from the iPad to an Apple TV without the need for a server
· Create content on the iPad in standalone mode or as a system connected to a server
· Onscreen wrist guard for customers not using a standard stylus or finger to prevent unintended annotations from a palm being
placed on the iPad surface
· Background and pen enhancements including new color palettes and authoring tools
· Direct controls for Microsoft Keynote and PowerPoint programs

“NEC’s Interactive Software not only gives educators and corporate users an easy way to present, but also maximizes the full potential
of their NEC projectors,” said Rich McPherson, Sr. Product Manager at NEC Display Solutions. “The updates we’ve made to the latest
version of the software allow advanced customization of presentations and support for enhanced technologies that increase
interactivity and further encourage collaboration.”

To use NEC’s Interactive Software, customers must download the program to a computer and the companion Doceri app in iTunes to an
iPad. By connecting both devices to a wired or wireless network via a network infrastructure or ad-hoc connection, complete control of
the PC or Mac from the iPad is possible. This link creates a collaborative environment between the presenter and participants from
anywhere within the classroom or boardroom.

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today its new P Series for
projectors. The new P Series consists of three models designed specifically for entry-grade integration environments such as corporate
boardrooms, higher education classrooms and government training rooms.

Users that require bright installation projectors with enhanced connectivity will appreciate the new professional line of projectors. With brightness
levels of 3,500 lumens (P350X/P350W) and 4,200 lumens (P420X), these new projectors provide dynamic images under normal ambient lighting
conditions. Built-in software features include wall color correction, automatic keystone correction, carbon savings meter, Virtual RemoteT and
closed captioning for ease of installation. Networking features, such as Windows® Network Projector, Windows Remote Desktop, Image

With ECO ModeT technology, the P Series projectors lamp and filter life are extended up to 5,000 hours, and the filter does not need to be
changed until the lamp has reached its end of life. Carbon savings are calculated automatically, enriching the projectors eco-friendliness. The
active lens cover enables presenters to immediately mute the audio and video, then seconds later lower the lamp brightness to 25 percent for a
short period of time. Additionally, quick start (3 to 4 seconds) and direct power-off let users present and move on within seconds. The sum of
these combined features equates a lower total cost of ownership.

"We have included features in this projector series that not only exceed the needs of education and corporate users but enhance the user
experience with practical and easy-to-use functionality," said Rich McPherson, Product Manager of projectors for NEC Display Solutions. "The
P Series provides users with everything they need from built-in technologies and extended connectivity to energy-saving features and
advanced networking capabilities."

. Variable audio-out to connect the projector to an external speaker and control the volume with the projector's remote control
. DICOM Simulation enables users in medical environments to display accurate diagnostic images
. Wireless transmission of an image to the projector without the need for external components is achieved using Image Express 2.0 or Image Express Lite
. 10-watt speaker
. Windows Vista & Windows 7 compatibility
. Video transmission up to and including 720p over the network
. ECO Mode allows for multiple settings dependent upon the brightness required in the application and power savings desired by the user

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today that its 23-inch
MultiSync® EX231W desktop monitor has won the renowned iF Product Design Award for 2011, which is given to companies that have made
outstanding design achievements. This distinguished honor is given each year by an international jury of experts and is one of the world’s most
esteemed design accolades.

The iF Product Design Award is given to a product based on clearly defined criteria, such as quality of design, quality of workmanship, degree of
innovation, environmental sustainability and ergonomics. NEC’s MultiSync EX231W, ideal for enterprise office environments, impressed the panel
of judges in the category of “05 Computers.”

“It’s truly an honor to receive such a prestigious award for the MultiSync EX231W, a display that sets the benchmark for performance, design and
environmental advances,” said Kevin Christopherson, Director of Product Marketing for NEC Display Solutions. “NEC’s high standards and

product as a leader in its category.”

First-class quality is offered in the MultiSync EX231W with brand new technologies like the human sensor, which detects user activity in front of
the monitor and reduces its power up to 95 percent with inactivity. Users have the ability to adjust the inactivity length and sensor settings. The
stylish monitor is equipped with DisplayPort and DVI-I inputs for full high-definition resolution, as well as an ultra-slim bezel (14.6mm width), ultra-
light weight (9.3 lbs with stand) and USB pass-through on the top of the monitor, which allows quick connecting of a webcam or simple flash drive
access.

Fukasawa established Naoto Fukasawa Design. While collaborating with representative brands in Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland,
Scandinavia and Asian countries for their product developments, he is also consulting both national and international companies. Fukasawa has
won many awards internationally and, in 2007, he was accorded the title of Honorable Royal Designer for Industry (Royal Society of Arts). Since
1992, Fukasawa has been designing the MultiSync monitor series for NEC.

NEC MultiSync Brand Turns 25 Years Old

NEC Display Solutions of America, a leading provider of commercial LCD display and projector solutions, announced today the 25th anniversary
of its award-winning MultiSync® monitor brand. Millions of computer users - from graphic designers to medical technicians, business professionals
and financial traders to consumers - have benefited from NEC innovations introduced to the marketplace under the brand. Concurrent to its
Silver Anniversary, MultiSync-branded displays have reached another milestone: 40 million units shipped.

“People forget that in 1985, the same year that Microsoft released Windows 1.0 and Intel introduced a 16 MHz processor, NEC unveiled a
monitor brand that has enriched the computing experience of millions and millions of people around the globe,” said Pierre Richer, President and
C.O.O. of NEC Display Solutions. “Of particular significance are the breadth of performance and innovation that NEC has contributed through
the brand for more than a generation. For example, MultiSync was one of the first future-ready computer peripherals in history. It didn’t force
users to change monitors when they upgraded their computers.”

MultiSync-branded monitors have set the industry benchmark for display quality, reliability and durability as evidenced by the numerous Best of
Show, Readers’ Choice and Editors’ Choice Awards received in its history.

As a thank-you to its long-time customers as well as newcomers to the MultiSync legacy, NEC is extending its desktop monitor standard limited
warranties to five years for only $25. From December 1, 2010, to March 31, 2011, users who purchase any new NEC MultiSync desktop monitor
(between 17 inches and 30 inches) can take advantage of this offer. For more information, please see www.necdisplay.com.
